The Italian striker started at Lumezzane, but he soon went to Inter Milan, who signed him up when he was just 17. He spent three years there and finally broke into the first team when he was 19.
After that, Manchester City got hold of his services and after two campaigns at the English side, he returned to Italy, but this time to AC Milan. A decision which went down very badly with Inter fans.
Balotelli, now at Marseille, decided to go to the Inter Milan-Atalanta game in Serie A at the Giuseppe Meazza and the cameras focussed on him for a part of the encounter.
When he was seen on the big screens of the stadium, the Inter fans were not afraid of telling Balotelli what they thought of him. Part of the stadium chanted "Balotelli, son of a b***h", according to Guillaume, a prestigious journalist for 'Eurosport'.
