Gareth Bale started the match against Unionistas de Salamanca. The Welshman scored Real Madrid's first goal but went off in the 2nd half holding his ankle in a match that he surpassed Ronaldo Nazario.

Bale has no continuity at Real Madrid. Physical problems have weighed him down during his spell at Los Blancos. And when it seemed that he was coming back, he got injured again.

According to 'Mundo Deportivo, Bale came off in the Unionistas match holding his ankle. The winger started to touch it 15 minutes into the match. Finally, and after putting up with it, Zidane took him off in the 2nd half.

The aforementioned source indicated that Real Madrid will have the medical tests on Thursday to determine the extent of his injury. This would not prevent him, in principle, to be available against Valladolid.

Bale returned to the starting XI after missing the Super Cup final and the match against Sevilla. He scored but didn't celebrate the goal that put his side in front.

With this goal, Bale scored his 105th Real Madrid goal. The Welshman surpassed a great, Ronaldo Nazario, who scored 104 goals for Los Blancos.
