Bale's future is more and more clear. In England they are saying that the player will return to a Championship team, but that depends on what happens at the World Cup.
'Sky Sports' reports that the former Tottenham man will only keep playing football past June if Wales qualify for the World Cup at the end of the year.
The only thing that is clear at the moment is that Bale will leave Real Madrid once his contract expires on 30th June. Neither the player nor the club will try and extend that contract.
When he ends his career depends on whether Wales qualify for the World Cup or not. If Wales qualify via the play-offs in March, he will move to Cardiff or Swansea to make sure he is match fit for the World Cup in Qatar.
Wales will play Austria in the semi-final and if they win, they will face Scotland or Ukraine in the final. Bale hopes to have recovered from his back injury in time for those key games.
Bale could play in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, but his main target, as he has shown in the past, is to be ready for Wales. The Qatar World Cup will be the perfect climax to his career. However, he still has to qualify for it.
