Bale's future father-in-law jailed for six years

The Real Madrid star's future father-in-law was jailed for six years in the United States for defrauding victims of €2.6m. Martin Rhys-Jones sold high-priced shares which in reality, had no value whatsoever. There are over 250 victims in the United Kingdom, USA and Canada. Some are even suffering from illnesses such as Alzheimers.

People have seeked to take revenge on Bale's fiancee's family and Emma Rhys-Jones' granparents, aunt and uncle have been victims of attacks. Emma Rhys-Jones' grandparents' house was attacked two weeks ago, with bricks being thrown at the windows and the granfather's car being burnt out.

Last Monday, the same thing happened to Bale's fiancee's aunt, 55, who came out unharmed when the car closest to her house was burnt out.

Bale and his fiancee are said to be worried about their own family home in Madrid, despite the distance that seperates them from the attacks. Emma has asked increased security around the family home to avoid attacks in the coming days.
