"Bale is not happy, he wants to play"
Madrid will face Valladolid at the Zorrilla Stadium this Sunday, the last venue for Solari and the one that brought the French coach back to the Real Madrid bench.
"We are in a good moment. This is difficult because every three days it's another story and another moment. We always have to show the best version of ourselves. This Sunday is going to be a very difficult game, so we'll see what we can do on the pitch," said Zidane.
The Frenchman was questioned about the 1,000 passes Barcelona achieved in Setién first game at the helm: "All the teams are looking to win. Each one chooses its own way and we have ours. I'm not going to talk about what other people do. We want to keep it that way."
Of course, Zidane had to respond to another absence by bale. "The most important thing is that Bale is okay. The other day was a shame. Bale is not happy because he would like to be with us and available to play. I hope he'll be back on Monday because he got a little hurt, it's a small thing. I always worry when a player is injured," he continued
As for Odriozola's departure, Zidane explained that he had been talking to the defender: "We all decided that it was best that he go out and give him a chance to play. I hope he has minutes because he's a lovely player and we're counting on him. He's going to get his chance here."
The ones who could go out are Mariano and Brahim, although they are reluctant to leave. "Everyone knows their own situation and then it's up to the player to choose what to do. If I have to say it, I talk to him directly. They're here and I'm going to count on them when I can," said the coach.
Zinedine Zidane also addressed rumours linking him to the French national team: "Now I'm here and I'm happy. What interests me is the day to day and trying to improve and grow day by day".
Finally, the Frenchman was asked about Hazard's progress: "I won't be able to tell you about his return this Saturday. His evolution is going well and he has almost no pain. From Monday next week, he will be working with the ball, so he will be improving little by little. I hope he will come back soon".
