Aubameyang likens Ozil's newest hairstyle to Rapinoe's famous purple locks

While Mezut Ozil has gone all out for his preseason by debuting a striking haircut, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took the opportunity to make fun of his teammate's bold new look by comparing him to one of the world's biggest football stars. 

Indeed, on an Instagram story, Aubameyang likened his Arsenal teammate's blond locks to Megan Rapinoe's now-famous hairstyle, adding a touch of humour to the beginning of the preseason. 

The Gabonese Arsenal striker posted the picture followed by the caption:  "Now I know why they won. Best haircut you ever had Bruder".

Megan Rapinoe has become of the most recognisable faces of women's football after leading the USA to a fourth World Cup victory in France and becoming an outspoken critic of Donald Trump and his views on racism, feminism and equal pay.
