Atletico and Manchester City reach agreement on €80m package for Julian Alvarez

Atletico Madrid have gone all-out in the transfer market. After making the arrivals of Le Normand and Sorloth official, the Madrid side continued looking for one of their most desired targets: a world-class player.

Many names were bandied about between rumour and rumour, although, without a doubt, that of Julian Alvarez was the one that aroused a special excitement among the 'Colchoneros'. After considering the arrival of the Argentinian striker almost impossible, in the last few hours, everything took a U-turn.

Therefore, and as reported by 'Ole', Manchester City and Atletico reached an agreement on Monday afternoon to complete the deal. This was based on a sum of 80 million euros and a contract for five seasons, until 2029.

The demand for playing time was one of the main requests of Julian Alvarez. Something that the player himself saw possible in the ranks of the team led by his compatriot Diego Simeone, which made him say yes to the Spanish side.
