"We prefer to play in a country where the rights of everyone are guaranteed," he said. This comes as the Federation plans to hold the four team Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
Everyone is giving their opinion on the issue and the large majority are against hosting it there. The government and La Liga, for example, are opposed to it.
Clemente Villaverde fears that playing there could be negative for the tournament. "We would prefer to play where everyone's rights are guaranteed. That said, we will play wherever we are told to," he pointed out.
There is still no venue for the Super Cup. "We will have to keep wait a bit longer to find out where it will be played," Villaverde pointed out.
"We all know the problems that there are in Saudi Arabia as well as the piracy over there. It doesn't seem the most advisable thing to do to play the Super Cup there," he concluded.
