As journalist Antonio Ruiz reported on 'Cadena COPE', the Atlético dressing room are 90% sure that Rodigo will leave this summer, despite the fact he only joined the club less than a year ago.
Ruiz suggests that Manchester City, as well as another unnamed team, have put an offer of 70 million euros on the table for the Spaniard, which would be enough to activate his release clause. The Spaniard will wait to see if he receives an improved contract offer before deciding on a move.
'Cadena SER' reported on Monday that Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also in the race for Rodrigo, who many believe to be the heir to Sergio Busquets' number 6 position in the Spanish national team.
Many at Atleti are convinced that Rodrigo will follow Lucas Hernandez, Diego Godin and Griezmann in leaving Atlético, and have lined up midfielder Marcos Llorente as a potential replacement.
Atlético's exodus may not be over yet, however, with Filipe Luis and Juanfran reported to be leaving too this summer.
