Atleti breathe sigh of relief as Griezmann registered in La Liga

Antoine Griezmann will be available for Diego Simeone in the first league game which will see Atletico Madrid travel to Getafe on Monday (19:30 CEST) at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Griezmann, until this very week, still appeared as a Barcelona player on La Liga's website. This Turesday, the Frenchman is now in Atletico's. 

A bit of burocracy had to be completed, but it has now been done and the French striker can now play for Atletico Madrid. 

The last step was his registration. As it is a new loan deal, by Barcelona, Atletico Madrid had to register the player again to have him eligible for La Liga matches.

So, Simeone could have him against Getafe in the first league encounter. That said, Joao Felix and Alvaro Morata are the favourites to occupy the positions in attack in the first match.
