The attacker has completed a permanent move away from Sevilla to Italy, where he spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Fiorentina.
Muriel performed well on loan in Florence, and after being told he doesn't feature in Julen Lopetegui's plans at Sevilla, he has signed a contract with Champions League side Atalanta.
The 28 year-old was on international duty with Colombia at the Copa America in Brazil, but he suffered a serious looking injury against Argentina and will now go to Italy to get settled in his new home as he recovers.
Sevilla themselves confirmed the transfer, wishing Muriel all the best in his new adventure.

Atalanta also confirmed the signing on their twitter page, and will hope the Colombian can return from injury as soon as possible to help them build on a strong season that saw them pip AC Milan to fourth spot in Serie A.
