Eric Black has revealed that Jores Okore has been dropped to the reserves for the remainder of the season, after the defender refused to be on the bench for Aston Villa's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth.
"He told me he didn’t want to be on the bench – I found that strange,” said Black.
"After that he said he didn't want to be considered for any of the games going forwards. He has gone to the under-21s.”
Okore joined Villa back in 2013, for a reported £4 million from FC Nordsjaelland, and it seems as though he and Black don't see eye-to-eye.
“There is currently a situation between me and the manager,” he told BT.
“I’ve said things straight out to him, and it has then resulted in that I am not a part of the first-team squad right now.
“I told him that I think I deserve a fair chance to play and perform, and I think I’ve done well enough in the few matches I have played this season.
“This is the opinion I have given to him, but the manager was not happy with it and therefore he put me down on the U-21 team.”
