Asensio scores on counter seconds after Levante wanted penalty

There were three major incidents in the first 15 minutes of the match between Real Madrid and Levante. The first came after Militao was sent off for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity for Sergio Leon. 

The second was a possible penalty for Levante after Melero felt Mendy caught him in the face with his arm. The referee gave nothing and Real Madrid went up the other end and scored through Asensio. 

Asensio's goal was the third key move. Although it is true that the superb counter came after the controversial incident involving Mendy and Melero, it was still a good move. Asensio beat keeper Aitor Fernandez with a nice left footed shot.

The VAR reviewed the penalty incident while Real Madrid were celebrating the goal, but felt it was not enough to order an on field review. Militao's goal therefore counted. Real Madrid were one man down at that time.
