'AS': 2020 Copa del Rey final to be held on 3rd April at La Cartuja

The current version of the Copa del Rey is in the last 16 stages and we still do not know the winner of the 2019-20 edition. The final between Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad agreed to postpone the final last season. 

Both teams were happy to delay the final so that fans could attend the eagerly awaited Basque derby. However, coronavirus has meant that will no longer be possible. 

According to 'AS', the final will take place on Saturday 3rd April 2021 at La Cartuja stadium in Sevilla after talks with the Andalusian government. The match will almost certainly take place behind closed doors. 

That said, the report made clear that the decision to let fans into the ground or not will not be made by the Spanish FA or the Andalusian government. It will be the Spanish Sports Council (CSD) who will decide that after consultation with the Health Ministry.
