Practically since his arrival at Barcelona, Arturo Vidal's future at Barcelona has been in doubt. He did not find regularity in his first season and he has not been a regular starter in his second season, although his quality has made him worthy of quite a lot of game time.
Reinaldo Rueda, his coach for the Chilean national team, spoke about the midfielder on 'Sport': "I think he is very satisfied at Barcelona, the fans have treated him very well and I hope that wherever he goes, he is the protagonist he has always been and when he comes to the national team, he arrives in perfect conditions."
So, on the one hand, the Chilean coach made clear that if it were for Arturo Vidal, he would never change club, but the reality could be different,. "For what I know, they are possibilities of returning to Italy, Borussia Dortmund were very interested in him not long ago... But there is nothing concrete and he must be patience to make a decision."
The Colombian coach is in no doubt that he will continue triumphing wherever he plays and that he still has a fair bit of football left in him. He also thinks Quique Setien's arrival has been very good for Vidal.
"Arturo Vidal is out of this world and he has shown it in Germany, Italy and Spain. He transmits that character, that personality, as well as his good technical and physical work. He is a genius in that sense, for us it was of great satisfaction when he signed for Barcelona for what it means on a global level. We follow him from a distance and when we travel to Europe, we see him in person," Rueda concluded.
