Arturo Vidal's father found dead after cardiac arrest

Arturo Vidal's father was found dead this Tuesday at the Riding Club of Santiago. He was 62 years old.

According to the first version of the local press, Erasmo Vidal died after a cardiopulmonary arrest although the authorities are investigating the cause of death. Arturo Vidal's father was treated at the same riding club but resuscitation attempts were in vain.

Erasmo Vidal used to go to this riding club, where his son has a variety of horses that compete in races and Arturo would have been there this Monday.

Flamengo player Arturo Vidal had a distant relationship with his father because Erasmo left his family when the midfielder was five years old. 

In 2016, the player's father was arrested during an identity check in La Victoria, Chile. In 2018, Erasmo had another child and Arturo Vidal met him 10 months after.
