It seemed impossible that the swap between Barcelona and Juventus for Arthur Melo and Miralem Pjanic would come to fruition, given the Barcelona player's closed nature, although in the last few hours, 'Sky Sport' has talked about a piece of news that has to do with the Brazilian's opening to negotiate with the Italian club.
According to this new information, Arthur is speaking with Juve sporting director, Fabio Paratici, to know what role he would have in Turin and his conditions. From an economic point of view, the improvement would be more than substantial, since he would go on to earn five million a year, two and a half times more than what he receives at the Camp Nou.
This coming together, however, does not mean that the final agreement is easy. With Pjanic, who wants to go to Barcelona, there would be no problem. However, at the moment there is no agreement on the money involved.
While Juventus would put a 70 million euro price tag on their player, Barca would put an 80 million price tag on Arthur. This 10 million euros in favour doesn't convince the Barca board, who understand that the Brazilian's youth must weigh more heavily and that the Bosnian's salary is considerably higher.
There is also a week to reach a final agreement, as both clubs must balance their transfer budgets for the season by 30th June. In Barca's case, they must also cover a deficit resulting from the high budget set for the season, of 1 billion.
The report doesn't speak about Di Sciglio, who was originally also involved in the exchange between clubs.
