There's a lot of talks lately about Lacazette's future in England. That if a possible transfer to Juventus, another to Atletico Madrid ... but Arteta will not hear it. He wants to extend Lacazette's contract with Arsenal. He said so himself at the press conference before the FA Cup match against City.
"I like Alex a lot. I said that even before I was here, he's a type of striker that I like very much. He's had some unfortunate periods where he had chances and didn't turn them around, but he's not like that. He's able to connect very well in the game, he's very competitive."
"He hates to lose, he fights every ball. You can see in every duel how much he wants to, how hard he works and his intelligence as a player. I'm very happy for him," he added. When asked if there are plans to renew him, he said: "I don't want to lose a player like him. I'm very happy for him."
