According to The Sun, Arsenal have decided not to turn Dani Ceballos' loan into a permanent transfer, who will have no choice but to return to the Spanish capital once the season with the English team comes to an end.
The Spanish midfielder is playing this season on loan from Real Madrid in the Gunners' team, but he has not had all the opportunities he would have liked due to injuries.
That's why the London institution will say goodbye to the 23-year-old Sevillian player when the bond between them expires. The former Betis player will have to return to the Santiago Bernabeu, although it does not seem that Zidane will offer him opportunities, so he could be sent out on loan yet again.
In the present and unusual season marked by the coronavirus pandemic, Ceballos has only been able to count on minutes in 28 official games, 15 as a starter. In total, he has scored two goals and given the same number of assists.
Ceballos did, however, become Arsenal's hero in the FA Cup, scoring a last-minute goal to put Mikel Arteta's side into the semi-finals of the competition. A goal that would have filled the Spaniard with excitement, although it does not seem to be enough to keep him in London.
