Despite not yet finishing the season, Madrid have an eye on constructing the side for next season, with most of their attention on Jude Bellingham, who is tipped to become a new Madrid man this summer.
As for players leaving, Mendy is one of the names who is heading out. The Frenchman, who has been suffering with a bad injury, is a favourite to leave the 'Merengues', with everything indicating that his stint at the Bernabeu is coming to an end.
Madrid paid Lyon €48 million to get him on board, and the Spanish giants know that they won't be able to get the same money back to let him go. In fact, the first offers which have arrived are low.
PSG have offered €30 million for him, while 'The Mirror' have reported that Arsenal, the club who have recently joined the fight for the player, have made a first offer of around €20 million, 10 less than the Parisians.
Mendy returned to action on Saturday against Getafe after overcoming a muscle injury, and he played the entirety of the first half. It's certainly a good sign to be able to rack up some minutes in the run-in to the end of the season.
