Accorsing to reports from 'Sky Italy', the Premier League side are keen to recruit the 29 year old forward this month, by means of reinforcing their injury-plagued first team squad. The Italian outlet allege that Arsenal are looking to secure the player on a loan deal with an option to buy in the summer, although counterparts Inter are said to only be interested in a permanent deal.
So far this season, Perisic has scored three goals and notched five assists in 25 Serie A appearances, as Inter currently sit third in the table.
A good sign for Arsenal is the player's apparent desire to one day ply his trade in the English top flight. Just last November, Perisic hinted at a possible departure from the San Siro, saying: "I have always said that it is my dream, in football everything is possible, we will see in the future. Now I'm focusing on Inter."
However with the player locked in a contract until 2022, Inter have a strong hand in the negotiations,.And, with Arsenal unable to make permanent deals this month, it could be difficult for the sides to get this particular deal over the line.
