Arsenal eye £40m Pavon swoop
Pavon was part of the Boca side beaten in the Copa Libertadores final by bitter rivals River Plate last weekend and is considered one of South America's brightest young talents.
Still just 22, Pavon represented his country at this summer's World Cup and has 11 'Albiceleste' caps despite having only made his debut last year.
Arsenal are keen on a statement attacking signing in January as they look to continue their fine start to the season under Unai Emery and Pavon has been identified as the perfect man for the job.
Pavon started his career with Talleres de Córdoba, before moving to Boca in 2014.
However, there is a feeling that he is outgrowing the 'Xeneize' side and that a move to Europe is the next important step in his development.
A host of clubs have been linked with moves for Pavon, who has scored 19 goals in 72 league games for Boca, but it is believed to be Arsenal who are leading the chase.
