Arsenal enter advanced talks with Leno

According to 'Sky Sports', Arsenal are in advanced negotiations to sign Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

The 'Gunners' want a long-term replacement for Petr Cech and believe Leno is the right man for the job despite the shotstopper missing out on a place in Germany's World Cup squad.

The 26-year-old has consistently been one of the best goalkeepers in the Bundesliga, making 233 league appearances during his tenure at Leverkusen.

A mix of league and European experience will therefore be a great addition to Arsenal's squad as they look to restore their status as a Champions League playing club.

Leno would be just one of a number of potential signings this summer, with Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Caglar Soyuncu all heavily linked with moves.
