Mikel Arteta has asked the Arsenal board to make an effort to complete the signing of Lisandro Martinez, who is on Man Utd's radar this summer.
According to the English press, the Gunners have increased their first offer of 30 million euros up to 35 and they are waiting for Ajax to respond although the truth is that the signing will be difficult.
The departures of Gravenberch and Mazraoui to Bayern Munich could mean that the Dutch champions are reluctant when it comes to letting the Argentine defender leave.
Arsenal will try and get his signing until the end while Man Utd will try and take advantage of Ten Hag's relationship with the footballer to persuade him to join the club. Ten Hag was the former Ajax boss, of course.
At the age of 24, Lisandro Martinez has made 36 appearances this season between the Eredivisie, Dutch Cup and Champions League. Eight of those appearances came in Europe.
