Arsenal and Atletico Madrid could be rid of a problem in one fell swoop with Alexandre Lacazette and Thomas Lemar. AS reported that the Gunners would welcome the exchange between the former Olympique Lyon player and the Atletico Madrid winger.
Lacazette ends his contract in 2022 and, at 29, could be looking for a new adventure, especially after seeing how he continues to get himself into trouble in London.
At the same time, Atletico Madrid are still looking for a way to accommodate Thomas Lemar, a player who has been given many opportunities in the team without, so far, managing to take advantage of them.
As it will happen in several big clubs, the economic crisis derived from the COVID-19 will favour swap deals and, in that sense, Atletico will be one of many clubs involved.
In his 67 games for the Madrid team, Lemar was only able to score three goals and five assists. Lacazette, for his part, has played 114 games as an Arsenal player, scoring 45 goals and 19 assists.
