Arne Slot urged to reunite with Paixao to bolster Liverpool attack

The 24-year-old Brazilian, who previously worked under Slot at Feyenoord, has been in exceptional form, scoring 11 goals across all competitions this season and helping the Dutch side win the Eredivisie in 2023.
With Liverpool's attacking depth in question, particularly with Mohamed Salah's future uncertain after his contract expires in the summer, Slot may face the challenge of bolstering his squad. While Salah remains the team's standout scorer, other forwards, including Darwin Nunez, have been inconsistent, leaving questions about the depth of the front line.
Dutch international Cody Gakpo has contributed 16 goals this season but has struggled with injuries, leading former Feyenoord manager Rob Jacobs to suggest that Paixao could be a stronger option for Liverpool moving forward.
"I really think he will make Liverpool stronger," Jacobs said about Paixao, who joined Feyenoord in 2022. "Gakpo is a fantastic player, but Paixao is better. He's incredibly goal-oriented and the most dangerous player at Feyenoord."
Jacobs also noted that a move for Paixao could be financially feasible for Liverpool, with reports suggesting a transfer fee in the region of €40-50 million.
Paixao's continued development at Feyenoord and his impressive goal-scoring record have made him a top target for potential suitors, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Liverpool make a move this summer.
