After spending time at Istanbul Basaksehir, Arda Turan promised to go to Galatasaray until the end of the current season. That means he will be a free agent in June.
The former Atletico Madrid and Barca man included a clause in his contract which meant he could extend it by another year if he started at least half of the Turkish league matches.
But, as 'Sabah' reports, even if Arda Turan does not start at least 50% of the games, Galatasaray will still renew his contract because they believe he can still help the team.
Nevertheless, barring a major surprise, the player will reach the 50% mark. He has started 19 matches and each team plays 42 fixtures in Turkey so he needs just two more starts.
