Arda Turan made his coaching debut with defeat in Turkey

Arda Turan's life has changed, but never away from the world of football. The former Barcelona and Atletico Madrid player made his debut as a coach.

The Turk made the step up to the bench by becoming coach of Eyupspor, who lost narrowly away to Goztepe on Sunday in the former midfielder's first test.

The Istanbul club, currently playing in the Turkish second division, were unable to take a point from their opponents with the former player at the helm.

The Turkish player excelled in the Atletico Madrid ranks, where he went on to win La Liga at Camp Nou. He was unable to play in the Champions League final in Lisbon due to injury.
