The Spain Under 17 squad for the World Cup has been released. Ansu Fati has not been included in it and will stay at Barcelona.

Ansu Fati's possible inclusion in the Under 17 squad was what everyone was waiting to find out. In the end, coach David Gordo has not called him up in his 21 man squad so he will stay at Barcelona.

That was Barcelona's biggest fear. The Catalan side could have lost one of the revelations of the season for more than a month, but will finally stay under the orders of Ernesto Valverde.

So, Ansu Fati could have minutes in the Clasico against Real Madrid. That was precisely the match Barcelona wanted to keep the 16 year-old for.

One of the stars of the Under 17 squad will be Pedri. The Barcelona player, on loan at Las Palmas, will lead David Gordo's attack in the World Cup which will be played between the 26th October and 17th November in Brazil.

The 21 man squad is composed of:

Goalkeepers: Ivan (Osasuna), Eric (Betis) and Pere Joan Garcia (Mallorca).

Defenders: Alejandro Frances (Zaragoza), Menargues (Valencia), Javi Lopez (Deportivo), Jose Martinez (Barcelona), Adrian Gomez (Atletico) and Alvaro Carrillo (Real Madrid).

Midfielders: Ilaix Moriba (Barcelona), Turrientes (Real Sociedad), Robert Navarro (Real Sociedad), Aitro Gelardo (Villarreal), Yéremi Pino (Villarreal), Larrubia (Málaga) and Germán Valera (Atlético).

Strikers: Jordi Escobar (Valencia), Aranda (Real Madrid), Pablo Moreno (Juventus) and Pedri (Las Palmas)
