Barcelona confirmed that Ansu Fati will not go to surgery. That is what the player, medical staff and club have decided.
Ansu Fati has an injury to the femoral biceps muscle in his left thigh. The attacker has preferred a conservative treatment over being operated on surgically.
The left-winger is trying to be fully recovered in 60 days. 'Marca' says that he could fulfil that time period.
The Spanish newspaper explains that other players with a similar diagnosis took more or less two months to be fully recovered. That date, therefore, would be Ansu Fati's estimated date of reappearing.
Bearing in mind that he picked up his injury on 20th January, Ansu Fati could return to action around 20th March. Everything else depends on his recovery and who the doctors see him.
Canales, for example, got injured and saw the tendon of his left hamstring affected. He was out for six weeks. He was the only one to slightly reduce his recovery time.
Rodrygo injured the tendon of his right femoral biceps and he was out for 67 days, slightly more than two months. That is the same case as Carvajal. He was out for 67 days.
The precedents are optimistic. Ansu Fati is promising to work to be 100% as soon as possible. Barca, in the meantime, are waiting patiently for him. He doesn't want to rush things which will complicate Barca's young talent.
