All Barcelona supporters are confident of Ansu Fati's ability to give the team a much needed boost. After getting over the serious injury which had kept him out since November last year, the Spain international is once again Barcelona's main hope.
He is playing with Leo Messi's number 10 shirt and he returned to action after 10 months out in Barca's comfortable 3-0 victory over Levante. Ronald Koeman brought him on in the 81st minute and, 10 minutes later, he scored the team's third goal.
That meant the Catalans went into the Champions League clash with Benfica on a high, but this time, the result was not the one they expected. Ansu played for 22 minutes, but was unable to prevent the painful 3-0 defeat on Portuguese soil.
But patience is needed. The Dutch coach himself said made that clear in a press conference saying that it is normal Fati just gets a few minutes in matches: "Ansu is on the way back, but it is normal to not play for so long after being out for so much time."
Koeman, who is on the verge of departure, does not have that time, but the 18 year-old could give him some extra time this Saturday with a good performance and the three points versus Atletico Madrid.
