Liverpool remain top of the Premeir League table and keep their points gap the same after a big win against AFC Bournemouth away from home.
The Reds had won their two previous visits to the Vitality Stadium by four goals to nil and went into the game hoping to keep this up ahead of their Champions League trip on Tuesday. They were without Lallana and Wijanaldum and Jurgen Klopp unsurprisingly made 7 changes to the starting line up.
Liverpool started the game off and it was rather uninspiring for the first 15 minutes, as nothing really happened and both teams were just trying to get into the game a little. The main chance of the first half came from James Milner, whose powerful effort went wide of the post.
In the 32nd minute Bournemouth suffered injury worries as Ake went down and had to be substituted off, Simpson came on for him, as Eddie Howe looked on worried.
Not two minutes later Liverpool got their first goal, as an absolutely stunning strike from Henderson in Liverpool's defensive half was met by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the box, who only needed one touch to finish it off and chip it over the keeper to put his team in the lead. This piece of play really showed off Liverpool's quality, which they had been lacking at the start of the game.
And just before half time came the second goal. Keita combined well with Salah, as he gave Salah the ball just outside the box, then ran through the defenders and sneaked into the box where he was ready to receive the ball back from Salah, then all he had to do was finish it off. He did not miss. Great play from Salah and Keita saw Liverpool's lead doubled and Bournemouth's worries increase.
The whistle blew for half time in what started off a slow game at the Vitality Stadium, soon livened up as Oxlade-Chamberlain set the pace for the game with the first goal. Great play from Keita and Salah doubled Liverpool's lead and towards the end of the half they certainly dominated the game. Bournemouth were looking to regroup for the second half!
However they could not do this and 15 minutes into the second half Liverpool dominated again, with a third goal!
A great ball through from Keita was received by Salah, who ran with it into the box, beating the Bournemouth defenders, who were too slow for him. He slotted it past the keeper and into the back of the net. Liverpool completely dominated this game and Bournemouth didn't know what to do, as they hadn't had any real shots at goal.
And this is how the game finished, as Bournemouth were surely just waiting to go home and regroup ready for the next game. Liverpool are once again victorious as goals from Oxlade-Chamberlain, Keita and Salah secure them another three points. Eddie Howe will not be happy with today's performance as his team lacked any real clear-cut chances and never really came to life. Final score: Bournemouth 0-3 Liverpool
