Edinson Cavani and PSG will separate their paths at the end of this season. With PSG's decision to sign Icardi, the club have decided to bet on the Argentinean instead of the Uruguayan, who will look for a new team.
There are dissenting voices in the PSG camp regarding this decision. The last one to make a statement was Nicolas Anelka, the Parisian club'sformer star who played several seasons in the French capital.
"If Cavani goes out it would be a big mistake. You can criticise him however you like, but he's a striker, a '9' that you can't find anywhere else," the former striker confessed in a live broadcast from Instagram.
Anelka is aware of what PSG loses if Cavani leaves. "He has some mistakes, it's true, but he generates a lot of chances and scores a lot of goals. If you have enough money to keep him, you should do it. He's a super striker," she added.
Several teams have taken an interest in Cavani. The club that has positioned itself in first place is Inter Milan, who just let Icardi out and can do the same with Lautaro.
