Andy Cole did not like the fact that Mikel Arteta put William up front. The former footballer called the Arsenal manager disrespectful to Lacazette, another of the strikers.
"Willian is not a centre forward. I think he is also being disrespectful to Lacazette. If you have a centre forward on the bench who is your top scorer, I know about the turn and say: 'Look, I'm going to play with Willian as a centre forward'. You sit on the bench and watch him play as centre forward. I think that's disrespectful," he explained on 'talkSPORT'.
It was a decision that Andy Cole, who is used to playing in offensive positions, did not like. Even more so in a game where the Gunners were unable to score.
The truth is that Arteta preferred to save his forwards for the Europa League. Arsenal went out against Rapid Vienna with Lacazette and Nketiah, both substitutes at the weekend.
