Federico Valverde injured his left leg in the match against Sevilla after a hard clash with Papu Gomez and he will undergo medical tests on Sunday. Carlo Ancelotti has been advised to not call him for Tuesday's clash against RB Leipzig. The Real Madrid coach has confirmed that he will not force Karim Benzema's return.
Valverde, scorer of the last goal against Sevilla, left the Santiago Bernabeu with a bandage on his injured thigh. He will have medical tests on Sunday.
Ancelotti spoke about his situation in a press conference: "He has suffered a blow to his leg and it's hurting him. We will see what happens. I don't know if he could recover for Tuesday's clash. Maybe he is in the same situation as Karim, who won't recover and will be back on Sunday."
With qualification to the last 16 already assured, the Italian coach is expected to make changes to his starting eleven for the clash against RB Leipzig.
