Spurs interim boss Ryan Mason reflected on his side's defeat to City. DUGOUT

Spurs interim boss Ryan Mason revealed his pride at his players for their display against Manchester City in the League Cup final.

After Tottenham's defeat at the hands of Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, interim boss Ryan Mason shared his thoughts after the game - check out what we had to say here!

On the day, a goal from Aymeric Laporte just eight minutes from the end was enough to seal the win for Pep's men, although Mason's team had been hanging on until that point. The London side still haven't won a trophy since 2008.

After that disappointing result, concentration now turns to the league where Spurs remain five points off the Champions League places, and two points off automatic Europa League qualification. Mason's next match is against already relegated Sheffield United, which should provide his side with the opportunity to recover their form.
