PSV claimed their first title of the season as they came from behind to beat Ajax 2-1 in the KNVB cup final.

PSV faced Ajax in the final of the KNVB Cup on Sunday at the De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam. The side from Eindhoven lifted the trophy after winning the match 2-1.

Ajax's young talent Ryan Gravenberch opened the scoring in the final after netting the only goal of the first half in the 23rd minute. It only took PSV three minutes to respond after the break as Erick Gutierrez fired home to draw the teams level. Just two minutes later, Cody Gakpo completed PSV's turn around and the team from Eindhoven saw out the match for the remaining 40 minutes.

The win means PSV have now lifted the KNVB Cup ten times in their history, half as many times as their opponents Ajax (20).
