Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was very unhappy with his side's performance in their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Newcastle. The loss saw them drop important points in the battle for a Champions League place.

The Magpies were the much better side throughout the whole game and, after a first half with few chances, they took the lead in the 55th minute after an own goal by Ben White. The Gunners needed the win to go back into the Champions League spots going into the final day, but they never looked like scoring and Bruno Guimaraes secured the points for Newcastle five minutes from time. Newcastle are 12th on 46 points while Arsenal are 5th on 66 points, two points behind Tottenham.
