Argentinian Lautaro Martinez scored a stunning double to put a difficult match at Cagliari back on track. Inter eventually claimed all three points with a 3-1 win at the Unipol Domus in the 2021/22 season.
On 15th May 2022, Inter took a trip to the Unipol Domus to face Cagliari for a Serie A clash. The visitors took all three points from the game after winning 1-3.
Matteo Darmian opened the scoring for the visitors with the only goal of the first half in the 25th minute. In the second half, Lautaro Martinez put Inter 0-2 up six minutes after the break before Cagliari's Lykogiannis pulled one back three minutes later. Inter finished the 2021/22 Serie A season in second place, two points behind city rivals AC Milan.
