'Umbro': Man City sign Mix Diskerud

Sportswear manufacturer 'Umbro' announced on Saturday that Manchester City had signed United States international Mix Diskerud after his deal with sister club New York City had expired.
Despite Umbro no longer being the official sponsors of the Manchester club, after Nike took over in 2013, they still announced the signing of Diskerud on a four-and-a-half year deal through their social media channels on Saturday afternoon.
However, the tweet is still active twenty hours later which suggests that there is a degree of truth in the story.
Speaking to the sports company, the 27-year-old said: "This is a great opportunity for me. I'm very eager to be a part of people and organisations that constantly strive to bring our sport to new levels". He also described Pep Guardiola's team as the "best club in the world".
The midfielder had been on loan to Swedish side IFK Gothenburg from the States when the deal expired, with the player allegedly having the opportunity to work under the 'Sky Blues' until he finds a new club. It is reported in the English media outlets that Diskerud is not expected to train with City's first-team.
Neither Man City nor New York have released anything about the transfer through their official channels.
