The German coach opposed the departure of a player who has been linked with Barcelona in recent days at a press conference.

Thomas Tuchel discussed the possible departure of Hakim Ziyech, who is not getting the continuity he imagined in the Premier League.

The player had been linked with Barcelona, despite director of football Mateu Alemany making it clear that there is no transfer window unless a number of players leave.

"There are no thoughts of a possible change or whatever in the winter. I haven't spoken to anyone about that," the German coach made clear, recalling that Ziyech had not come to him to ask for a transfer either: "Hakim didn't come to my office to ask for anything, I still see him as just another first team player."

The Chelsea boss said he understood his pupil's frustration: "He is an important and very talented player, an ambitious player who is decisive in our team. He was last season, he is this season and we always expect the best of him.

"There is tough competition, I can't make everyone play 90 minutes, it's impossible," concluded the former Paris Saint-Germain coach.
