We take a look ahead to Wednesday's Champions League group stage game between Tottenham and Barcelona at Wembley.

Tottenham:

Captain Hugo Lloris has been confirmed as fit to return from injury after several games out. Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Serge Aurier and Dele Alli are all unavailable due to injury, as is second choice keeper Michel Vorm.

Barcelona:

Sergi Roberto was forced off with injury against Bilbao, while Samuel Umtiti is both injured and suspended for this match, suggesting that Nelson Semedo and Gerard Pique will line up at centre-back. Manager Ernesto Valverde is reportedly keen on switching from his usual 4-3-3 to a more robust 4-4-2, which could mean Ousmane Dembele being dropped in favour of Arturo Vidal.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino on the threat of Messi:

"It's about enjoying the game tomorrow and the best player in the world in Messi.

"Football is not a drama but always it's about being focused, competitive and enjoying playing against the best player in the world.

"Be optimistic and be happy and smile when you go on the pitch. Don't be too serious."

"It's very clear, very simple, we need to be near [Messi] when he gets the ball.

"If we leave him space he will get away from his marker. What we need is to have players helping each other. We need to demand sacrifice and they will expend a lot of energy."

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde on what he expects froms Tottenham

"You always expect the best version from your opponent.

We know they have injuries, but we expect the best.

We know their strength in attack and defence.

We expect what we expected when the draw came out. It's going to be a tough and difficult game on an incredible stage.
