This year, he has now scored 12 goals in nine games, which has enabled him to close down the gap to Lionel Messi and equal him on 28 goals.
Furthermore, Ronaldo has only required 31 games to reach this total while Messi's 28th goal of the season came after 38 matches.
Since he turned 33, Ronaldo has eight goals in his last four games, suggesting his powers might not be on the wane just yet.
