Leeds scraped a spirited win against a dominant Liverpool side. The win pushes Leeds outside of the relegation zone, and keeps Liverpool rooted into the nineth spot.

Aftre a chahotic first half, where both teams rued several missed opportunities, they went in for the break 1-1. Leeds found the opener thanks to a defensive blunder which saw Gomes passing the baal back to Alisson with the Liverpool goalkeeper not being there. Rodrigo fed off the scraps and put in what will surely be the easiest goal of his career. Liverpool came back fighting, with Salah putting in the equaliser just 10 minutes later, calmly volleying in a cross directed to the back post

The second half was widely dominated by Liverpool, and the visiting side were largely saved by thei keeper Meslier, who kept the score at 1-1. Despite several influential subtitutions such as Curtis Jones, the home side were unable to break down a spirited visiting defence. The longer the game went on, the more frustrated Liverpool and their fans were getting, but their desire to get the three points was not enough.

Leeds posed little threat in the second half, but showed a few promising spells after the introduction of Patrick Bamford. Their patience paid off and they suddenly found themselves with a break-away counter attack in the 89'. Thanks to sloppy Liverpool defending, Bamford was able to set Summerville up, and all he had to do was place the ball into the bottom corner of Alisson's net, sending the travelling fans into delirium

This victory bumps Leeds up 15th, as the three points have proved a valuable boost to propell them outside of the relegation spots. The loss leaves Liverpool in nineth position, two points behind the Seagulls.
