Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bono has "endless faith in Sevilla's victory" in next Wednesday's Europa League final against AS Roma in Budapest. He also points out that "all Sevilla fans understand that May is the month in which titles are won".

Bono reminded 'EFE' that in the Europa League, which Sevilla have won six times, the Andalusian side face "every game with great enthusiasm and believing that they can" win, but also "with professionalism, understanding that the final is very important for the club because it can improve the year", in reference to the team's poor season in La Liga, something that has been reversed in the last two months.

"Roma have important players, but we have to think about what we can give. I respect them, they are a great rival. A historic club with a great coach, Jose Mourinho," said the international goalkeeper.

The Canadian-born goalkeeper, who arrived in the 2019-20 season from Girona, spoke about his opponent: "They are a team that has nothing to do with the one we eliminated three years ago in Cologne -the Europa League final phase that took place in August 2020 in the German city and in which Sevilla became champions for the sixth time-".

"A lot of time has passed and everything has changed," added the goalkeeper, who turned 32 in April and who has rotated between appearing in continental competition and coming on as a substitute in La Liga since Jose Luis Mendilibar's arrival on the bench two months ago.

Despite this, he has "never felt like a starter or a substitute" because he is "a club worker who is there to respond to the needs" and trains "every day to be ready and thinking about playing", as he did on Saturday against Real Madrid in the match that preceded next Wednesday's game in the Hungarian capital.

Sevilla's inconsistent campaign had, for Yassine Bono, a turning point "in the second half of the Manchester game", when United were 2-0 up at half-time in the first leg of the quarter-final but the squad "had faith that as long as the team was alive in Europe, there was always a chance".
