Jadon Sancho, who is set to make his first start for England against the USA on Thursday night, joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.
Bayern Munich Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzi has revealed that Jadon Sancho rejected them to sign for Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho is now starring in the Bundesliga for Lucien Favre's top-of-the-table side after costing Dortmund just £8m.
He starred as BVB beat Bayern in Der Klassiker and is even set to start his first game for England this week.
"It is true that Bayern Munich wanted Jadon Sancho very well and therefore made him an offer that unfortunately was not accepted," Salihamidzi told 'Bild'.
Sancho has proved to be a revelation at Dortmund this season, scoring five times in 17 appearances to help his side move seven points clear of fifth-placed Bayern.
The Manchester City academy graduate earned his second call-up to Gareth Southgate's squad this month and is set for his first start in Thursday's Wembley friendly.
