The international footballing minnows once again got to celebrate a goal...and they did so just months after ending one of the worst streaks in European international football history.
Until they bagged against Norway in October 2016, the tiny country on the Italian peninsula went no less than 15 years from finding the back of the net in an official match away from home.
This time, the country with just 32,000 inhabitants found the target against Azerbaijan. The famous goal came courtesy of a header from Palazzi, a player who plays for Tre Penne, a team from San Marino's domestic league. A historic moment!
