Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Sevilla's Wissam Ben Yedder both scored braces as the Champions League round of 16 came to an end this week, with both players moving up the top scorers list as a result.

Messi scored two of Barca's three goals as they eased to victory over Chelsea at the Camp Nou. The Argentine scored in each half to take his tally in the competition this season to six, six short of bitter rival Cristiano Ronaldo who tops the goalscoring charts with 12.

Ben Yedder was also vital to his team's fortunes, with his goals handing Sevilla a famous victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. The Brace saw the Frenchman move on to eight Champions League goals for the campaign and become Ronaldo's closest competitior, just four goals shy of the Portuguese.

Other notable changes in the rankins in the round of 16 saw Ousmane Dembele (Barcelona), Vagner Love (Beisktas) and Sandro Wagner (Bayern Munich) get off the mark in the competition, whilst Thiago Alcantara (Bayern Munich) went one better with his strike against Besiktas. Edin Dkezo (Roma) moved on to four goals for the campaign, one fewer than Romelu Lukaku (Manchester United).
