It was a good gesture from the forward to Benzema, who has been struggling in front of goal. Ronaldo was on a hatrick, but he still gave the ball to Benzema. It was the behaviour of a true captain - Ronaldo was wearing the armband while Sergio Ramos served his suspension.
Ronaldo had already thanked Benzema for his work in the first goal, where he provided the assist for the Portguese. It was a great assist and Ronaldo signalled as such to the crowd inside the Bernabeu.
Benzema scored the penalty, sending a powerfully struck effort into the bottom left corner of the goal.
