Real hand Benzema ultimatum
Reports in Spain claim that Real Madrid are starting to lose patience with striker Karim Benzema, with his form this season having left much to be desired.
"Improve or leave", that's the message 'Los Blancos' have issued to the French international, according to Spanish publication 'ABC'.
The 30-year-old's complete lack of form in front of goal has left Real boss Zinedine Zidane beyond frustrated, despite his unwavering support of his compatriot.
However, the club is already thought to have issued the player with an ultimatum, effectively telling him to shape up or ship out.
The club hierarchy are expecting to see a better return in terms of goals from their no. 9 in 2018 and should that not be the case, the aformentioned source claims he will be relegated to the bench and put up for sale in the summer.
Despite Cristiano Ronaldo having always maitained his desire to lead the Real attack alongside Benzema, the club have a number of others stars who deserve game time, namely Isco, Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio.
Time will tell what the future holds for Karim Benzema at Real Madrid but it 'ABC' is to be believed, he is playing for his future at the club.
